Vessel Safety Check

Would your boat pass a Vessel Safety Check (VSC)Each year you should participate in a VSC, which is offered free of charge by the Norwich Power Squadron Safety Committee. A Vessel Safety Check is not required, but is recommended to ensure the safety of you and your family.

The Norwich Power Squadron has trained Vessel Examiners who can verify the presence and condition of safety equipment requirements by state and federal regulations. The Vessel Examiner may also discuss other optional safety items that you may be in need of.

A do-it-yourself VSC Safety Checklistis available for you to review, however, to be qualified as an officialcheck, the VSC must be performed by a trained Vessel Examiner.
